Talking with NEVO ANGEL

I had the great opportunity to talk with Angel, better known by his
stage name Nevo Angel.

Nevo Angel the new artist who knows how to merge and create his own style ofpop rock, which fits too well in this moment where urban music is reigning.
You may know him by his old name Mayo A.E where he had songs like BLOOM and Butterfly Effect, where he sang alongside Ymmy, the Kid.
Although 2020 has been a year too crazy for everyone, we were lucky that Ángel has a great change, making Ángel say goodbye to Mayo AE to transform into Nevo Angel, in the middle of quarantine he released an EP called LOCKED (June 7, 2020) where we find 7 incredible songs that vary in vibes, but he did not stay there, because on February 24, 2021 he released his album with Paul Married where it is a shower of emotions.
Nevo Angel has songs, for every moment, so take the time and listen to him because he is an artist with all the letters.

G: When did you click and say this is my thing and do you enter the world of music?
NA: From a very young age I have always walked by the threads of music, My father is a musician and has toured all his life through Spain and Latin America with the group "Los Refrescos" known around here, I have always been intrigued the sounds and melodies, with 4 years he sang at all hours, and well between one and the other... we are here
G: Not everyone knows you as Nevo Angel, in the past your name were Mayo A.E.. How did the decision to change from Mayo AE came about to Nevo Angel? What are the differences between the two?
NV: There are musical and professional differences, I did not feel in line with what I was doing as Mayo A.E, It seemed like a lurching project without really knowing very well where to shoot and thinking about the views. In addition, the name gave me several problems and it was a set of everyone that gave me the propulsion to change. Nevo Angel is a more pro project, more brainy, more artistic and with clear ideas and bases.
G: What inspires you when creating your songs, since your songs are quite varied, for example you have songs like "SOS" and "YAM / One night burning the city", that in one way or another have a quite different sound.
NV: Unfortunately love inspires me like most musicians, the feeling of heartbreak is what drives me to write. It is something that I have to change for my mental health but above all for more variety in my lyrics. I am proud because they are precious but sometimes I would like to be less soft.
Nor do I think they have different sounds, rather novel touches to classic pop rock songs, with a touch a little more precise and Hooligan. One night burning the city is a kind of grunge rock, nothing Pop. Even sadistic
G: What is the next step Nevo Angel is about to take on a musical level? New music? Tours? Merch?
NV: I am preparing my first big solo album with many collaborations and with the culmination of a sound that I have been looking for over the years.
A small review tour of my entire discography is coming to let go on stage. We have a couple of dates set that we will release as soon as they leave us.
And as soon as new music I give you the exclusive for you, On September 1st “Todavia remix” comes out, Along with New Boix and Delgao and on September 15th the second preview of my new album “Lejos de Aqui” comes out with Sadly.
G: I always ask everyone this question, what do you think of social networks and how do they influence the world of music?
NV: The truth is that social networks seem like a double-edged sword to me.
They seem to me to be an incredible source of communication that is changing the world by providing us with a lot of things that before we could not reach or even think that we had access to. We have control of all the information and I think precisely that makes schools more precise to teach how to use all these things because they can also be a tool of chaos. I personally have benefited from the fact that my work expands better thanks to them but personally lately they are not doing me very well. Look at myself sick, too connected to a surreal world where nobody is who they are and everyone pretends.. Also having control and information from everyone creates a lot of anxiety for me, and for the first time in my life I have put myself in the hands of professionals so that this does not get out of hand.
